Black Dog

Black Dog is the personal blog of Rob Matyska, co-owner of ThreadBear Fiber Arts Studio in Lansing, Michigan. The name of the blog honors the memory of our beloved female black lab. Connor was under the desk during those first days of the development of ThreadBearFiberArts.com, present for the move into our first retail store in Columbus, Indiana, and a fixture in the store in Lansing, Michigan until her demise in October of 2007 just after her eleventh birthday.

She survived insulin-dependent diabetes for three years before succumbing to liver failure. She was a valued and loved member of our family, and we miss her every day.
