If It’s Tuesday, I Must Be Blogging!
It seems to be a regular thing–taking part of my day off to visit with y’all and share what’s up over the past few days. So here we go…hang on, it’s gonna be short and to the point!
First off, a little housekeeping, for Rowena (via the comments). The article you referenced appeared at Knitty back in 2003, when we lived in Indiana. The next year, we packed up our circus tent and brought it up here to Michigan, so that may explain some of the dissonance you saw. From what I see at your website, you’re up to some pretty awesome stuff in Bedford. I’m envious!
In the mean time, we had a BIG delivery of some awesome yarn on Monday

That’s Merino Mia from Prism Yarn, and it’s stinkin’ amazing stuff. For more details, hit the ThreadBear New Arrivals blog and beware—it’s enchanting stuff. In addition to the Merino Mia, we received a little bit of Saki, another sock-weight yarn from Prism

and I snagged a skein and wound it into a ball this afternoon

It’s a little brighter there than in person, thanks to the flash (the purple is really deep royal, and the green is deeper, too!). Given the feel of this yarn, I’m sure the swatch coming out tonight will be amazing. And then it’s off to design a sock with it….YUM.
I’ve made decent progress on my February Lady sweater

which I’m really enjoying. I’ve made several of these in the baby-sized version, and the little gull wing lace pattern is the same stitch. Isn’t it beautiful?

I can’t wait to finish up here and get back to knitting on it tonight………..wait,…..I’m pretty much finished…so I should go. But first, a picture of the boys

since so many out there appreciate puppy pictures. OK–so it’s time to go fix dinner (no immediate ideas………..but there’s chicken and ground beef in the fridge). Back in a flash…..
Dinner in the oven….it’s meatloaf night (Matt has been craving meatloaf). A little egg, a little bread crumbs, a little bbq sauce, a little chopped onion, a few seasonings, some bacon on top…..POW…into the oven. Can’t wait (but we have to–an hour!). TIME TO GO KNIT! Be well, and be crafty!

Gorgeous, gorgeous “February Lady.” I’m so sorry I missed you in Indiana (I wasn’t here in 2003). Columbus is still a real knittin’ place, as you probably know. We’ll see if we can’t get things moving here in Bedrock, er, Bedford.
